Purchasing sketches for designs?

I have a friend that saws amazing stuff. How can I purchase his work to put on merchandise?

Just locate the person, make a deal where you can do the two stuff -
1. Exclusive use of his design which means he/she can not sell those design to any one else.
2. Or one time use of his/her design where he/she is free to sell the same work to others.
