    There are many Bollywood beauties who have left their fame and career behind to focus on their marriage and family. In Hollywood it is common for married actresses to be successful, but in Bollywood, the tides are yet to change.  No matter how successful they became, these actresses chose to settle down for good with their partners after tying the knot. 1. Twinkle Khanna

Twinkle Khanna could not make a big name for herself in Bollywood. She was last seen in Love ke Liye Saala Kuch Bhi Karega, after which she tied the knot with Akshay Kumar. We have not seen the actress on the big screen since then.

 

 

2.  Gayatri Oberoi:

Gayatri Joshi had the perfect Indian looks and decent acting skills to be the next big thing in Bollywood. This graceful actress became popular for her role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film Swades.  She  stopped doing films after her marriage to businessman Vikas Oberoi in the year 2005.and now has two sons with him.

 

 

3. Meenakshi Sheshadri

She was Bollywood box office gold in the late ‘80s, ruling the roost with films like Hero, Ghayal and Damini. she married the investment banker, Harish Mysore and said goodbye to the glamour world forever. She moved to the U.S.A. where she now lives with her husband and two kids. A gifted dancer, Meenakshi now teaches various forms of Indian classical dances to students in Sugarland, Texas.

4. Babita

Babita acted in only 19 films before she left Bollywood for good.  She was 23 years old when she married Randhir Kapoor. However, they separated only a few years after Karisma and Kareena were born. After about 20 years of separation, Randhir and Babita patched things up again. Now her daughters Karisma and Kareena have made a name for themselves in Bollywood.

 

 

5. Bhagyashree

The Maine Pyaar Kiya actress became popular after her debut performance opposite Salman Khan. The film was a huge success and her character ‘Suman’ became the ideal girl for the youth in India. However, she broke her fans’ hearts, when she married actor Himalaya at the age of 19. In her words, I sacrificed for the person I love the most.

 

6. Sonali Bendre

Sonali Bendre: Known as the Humma Humma girl, Sonali Bendre got married to director Goldie Behl in 2002. We haven't seen her acting in films post marriage. She married film actor-director Goldie Behl on 12 November, 2002 and left the film industry. After marriage Sonali was seen just once on silver screen in 2003, doing a special appearance in ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’. Now the actress is often seen on TV's reality shows.

 

 

 

7.  Namrata Shirodkar

Namrata acted in some prominent films like Bride and Prejudice, Vaastav and Pukaar. She met her then future husband, Mahesh Babu on the sets of their film, Vamsi in 2000. She started dating him after the filming was over. After five years, they got married in 2005, and now she lives in Hyderabad with her family.  

 

 

8. Saira Banu

Saira Bano was one of the most beautiful heroines of her time. Saira  was an ultimate diva whose one sight would take anyone's heart away. Saira Bano was an established actress, but she happily gave up the limelight to revel in her role as a wife and a homemaker. She was 22 years old when she married her dream man, the legendary actor, Dilip Kumar, in 1966. She says, I have no regrets of not doing too many films post my marriage.
