Arjun Rampal is an Indian film actor, producer, model and a television personality. Through his career in Bollywood movies, he has established himself as a leading actor in Bollywood. He is considered as one of India's most versatile actors.
Arjun Comes from a Ramgariha Sikh Punjabi background. His father is Amarjeet Rampal, a Sikh and his mother is Gwen Rampal, a Dutch woman.
Arjun selected the modeling career before acting. At one time Arjun Rampal was placed in the list of India's supermodel.
Arjun started his career in Bollywood in 2001 with Rajiv Rai's film, 'Pyaar Ishq and Mohabbat'. Arjun was very much appreciated by the audience as well as the critics in this film. He was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for this movie.
Arjun married former Miss India Mehr Jessica Mehr in 1998 and has two daughters, Myra and Mehika.
After leaving a mark in the industry with his acting, Arjun also tried his hands on direction. He helmed ‘Si Yu’ in 2006, however, the movie failed to survive at the box office.
In 2007, Rampal starred in a negative role in Om Shanti Om opposite Shahrukh Khan and the debuting Deepika Padukone. The film emerged as the year's highest-grossing film in India and the overseas market.
In 2008, Rampal made his television debut as one of the three judges of the fourth season of the dance reality television show Nach Baliye on STAR Plus. The other two judges were choreographer Farah Khan and film actress Karisma Kapoor.
He has won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Rock On!!
