Jane Wyman

Jane Wyman was the first to win the Oscar - Best Actress - for her portrayal of deaf mute Belinda in Johnny Belinda (1948), followed by John Mills for Ryan's Daughter (1970), Marlee Matlin for Children of a Lesser God (1986), and Holly Hunter for The Piano (1993).
