The title role was meant to be filled by Ashley Judd, who vacated meowing boots at the last minute. It is rumoured that Halle virtually jumped at the chance at playing the comic book character, only to star in possibly her most forgettable cinematic outing, savaged viciously by critics and audiences alike.
