One actor's loss is other actor's gain in Bollywood. While some reject roles offered to them due to date issues, some do it as a personal choice. Most of the times, this barter remains hidden from the audience's eye. But here is a list of films, you might just be surprised to know, which were offered to one actor, but another one ended up doing it.

1. Aishwarya Rai – Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

YES.. the role of Tina went to nine different actresses before Rani was given the role. Aishwarya was one of the many to turn it down.

2. Juhi Chawla – Dil To Pagal Hai

We have seen her quirkiness in Kurkure ads and her chemistry with SRK in Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, but somehow we still can’t imagine her in the place of Karishma Kapoor.

3. Katrina Kaif – Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

The movie would have been quite a kick starter for the couple had Katrina not said no to the role. We could have seen a different kind of Katrina as well.

4. Aishwarya Rai – Dostana

Imagine, Abhishek and Aishwarya as just friends or rather room-mates, with Aishwarya styling up as a diva or as the Desi girl. Hard to capture that image right?

5. Raj Kapoor – Anand

The most coveted role in the film industry that won the hearts of many was initially meant for Raj Kapoor. Imagine Raj Kapoor saying – “Babu Moshai”

6. Shatrughan Sinha – Sholay

Even though the movie was not a major hit back when it released, it is now considered a classic cult movie. Shatrughan Sinha shouldn’t have been Khamosh on this role for sure.

7. Aishwarya Rai – Corporate

One of Bipasha’s most successful roles in Bollywood was corporate. However, this role was meant to have Aishwarya Rai playing it.

8. Dev Anand – Zanjeer

Not the new Zanjeer, but the original Zanjeer movie starring Amitabh was primarily assigned to Dev Anand.

9. Aishwarya Rai – Raja Hindustani

She decided to focus more on the Miss World competition and had not decided on joining the film industry, so the movie went to Karishma. And boy did it do wonders for her!

10. Salman Khan – Baazigar

The epic movie of SRK which is still a classic revenge tale wouldn’t be in his list, had it not been for Salman Khan’s rejection.

11. Katrina Kaif – Chennai Express

Katrina speaking Tamil or Hindi with a Tamilian accent would have definitely been an added benefit to the comedy flick Chennai Express.

12. Armaan Kohli – Deewana

A blockbuster movie for Shah Rukh Kan wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for the graciousness of Armaan Kohli.

13. Kareena Kapoor – Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

The movie that became popular for so many reasons was supposed to have Kareena in the lead. That would have been not just a break but the perfect debut had Kareena chosen it.

14. Kajol – Veer Zaara
The epic romantic love story spanning two bordering nations was a major movie. But instead of a cute and bubbly Preity, it was supposed to the sophisticated Kajol.

15. Saif Ali Khan - Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge
Imagine how the dialogue "Senorita bade bade sheheron mein, aisi choti choti baatein hoti reheti hain"  would've sounded in Saif's voice. Shah Rukh Khan must be thankful to him for rejecting the film, which went on to make SRK Bollywood's King Khan.

Here are some of our fave minutes from the motion pictures that made our hearts go dhak dhak.

1. Vivaah:

The entire thought of somebody cherishing you notwithstanding when you are best case scenario is so gladdening. Nothing very contrasts and having somebody who sticks by you and adoration you regardless. That is precisely what Prem does in Vivaah when he weds Poonam who is scarred by a mischance, saying 'Mera pyaar is pariksha ka mohtaaj nahi'.

2. Hum Tum:

When you've lost all trust in affection, this motion picture will be that beam of light. Following a nine-year-long pursue, these two closest companions at last acknowledge why nothing else worked out. The entire universe was actually scheming to get them back together.

3. Pyar Toh Hona Hi Tha:

Falling in affection with a man from another nation while on an outing to revive lost adoration is something that doesn't happen in our fantasies. On the other hand so you think. Wouldn't you need to be Kajol in this motion picture?

4. Jab pyaar Kisise Hota Hai:

Love requires some penances yet when your life accomplice will acknowledge all your imperfections, it resembles you've won a fight. Is it true that it isn't moving the way Twinkle acknowledges Salman's illegitimate tyke?

5. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge:

Which young lady wouldn't give her heart away to the enchanting Raj who ventures out a 100 miles to be with the adoration for his life? Raj's endeavors and his determination to be with Simran are what make this motion picture very sentimental! What's more, there's the epic train run that finishes in Simran and Raj being as one, until the end of time.

6. Kuch  Kuch Hota Hai:

Kismet is genuine. Furthermore, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai just helps us to remember God's ways. The best scene is when Aman drags Anjali towards the Mandap (tent) and takes her straight to Rahul. It is really the ideal consummation!

7. Jab We Met:

When two absolutely inverse individuals coincidently meet on a train venture, aside from being an engrossing watch it is likewise the sort of thing that happens in tall tales. However, nothing happens without a reason. Discuss love having its own particular manner.

8. Dil Toh Pagal Hai:

I wish I could encounter their energy for move and the enchantment of affection that are all a player in this account of Rahul and Pooja who at last admit their affections for each other before a vast gathering of people with the closure scene that is certain to convey you to tears. All things considered, dil toh paagal hai, isn't that so?

9. 2 States:

College sentiments are fun however they can be very hard to convey forward. In any case, this romantic tale that begins on the school grounds at long last closures in a between social wedding. Don't you wish all adoration relational unions had such a magnificent end?

10. Maine Pyaar Kiya:

The greatest triumph for a young lady is the point at which the adoration for her life yields his legacy for her and consents to live like a homeless person. Love makes individuals do insane things, and this is absolutely one of them.

11. Veer Zaara:

This cross outskirt romantic tale make your day with a peak that has both the heroes putting in 20 years in a state of banishment. Really the sort of thing that happens in dreams.

12. Lamhe:

This story of adoration resisted age hindrances and genuinely made us have faith in genuine affection and how it can function its enchantment on anybody.
