The wheels of fortune have turned for Pankaj Tripathi and how! He is the face of rising stars in the field of acting, someone who has given his life a complete makeover purely based on his hard work and talent.
The 'Mirzapur' actor recently shifted to a new home in Mumbai's Madh Island locality, but this hasn't erased the memories of his days of struggle. "It was our dream home, a love nest at the seaside. Now I've finally bought our dream house in Madh Island. My wife got very emotional after we moved into our new home."
The actor's powerful performances have been turning every film and show he touches into a goldmine. However, he believes that his power and strength lies in being rooted to his identity and struggles that have helped him on this journey.
"Today, my wife Mridula and I own our dream house. But I haven't forgotten my one-room shed with its tin roof in Patna. One night, the rain and wind were so intense that one of the tin sheets blew away and I was left looking at the naked sky," he recounted.
Currently, Tripathi is being lauded for his impeccable performance in 'Criminal Justice'. From tiniest roles and little screen time, to delivering memorable performances in 'Masaan', 'Newton', 'Mirzapur' and 'Criminal Justice', Panjak has come a long way.
He told the media, "The praise for 'Criminal Justice' is pouring in. People who are knowledgeable about acting are praising me. Manoj Bajpayee called to say, 'Yeh tu kya kar raha hai? Kaise kar raha hai?' Manoj bhai is my role model and inspiration as he also came from rural Bihar and I felt that if he could become an actor, why can't I? It's a good feeling.”
Talking about his long, adventurous journey, Tripathi said, "Until a year back, I accepted any role that was offered to me. Now I'm in a position to pick and choose." Even then, Pankaj only takes strength from his years of struggle and looks at his journey so far in the industry, "With amazement and gratitude. Every experience has shaped the actor and human being that I am."
Kudos to this talented man and his spirit. He indeed is a noble actor and a great human being.
