Computer Games : From Our Childhood That We Miss a Lot!!

Video Games are every child’s first love and Gaming consoles were the harbingers that brought us to these great bastions of video gaming. Now a days, the graphics are awesome; however, nothing can beat these games in terms of their game play and the nostalgia value.

1. Mario

Mario is a fictional character in the Mario video game franchise, created by Nintendo's Japanese video game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto. Serving as the company's mascot and the eponymous protagonist of the series, Mario has appeared in over 200 video games since his creation.

2. Duck Hunt

Duck Hunt  is a light gun shooter video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) video game console. Duck Hunt, players use the NES Zapper to shoot ducks that appear on the television screen. The ducks appear one or two at a time, and the player is given three shots to shoot them down.

3. Contra

Contra distributed as Gryzor in Europe and Oceania, is a 1987 run and gun action game developed and published by Konami originally released as a coin-operated arcade game on February 20, 1987.

4. Road Rash

Road Rash is the name of a motorcycle-racing video game series by Electronic Arts in which the player participates in violent, illegal street races. The series started on the Sega Genesis and made its way to various other systems over the years.

5. Street Fighter

Street Fighter is a fighting game franchise by Capcom. The game's playable characters originate from different countries around the world, each with his or her own unique fighting style.

6. Fifa

FIFA Soccer 95 is a 1994 sports video game developed by EA Canada's Extended Play Productions team and published by Electronic Arts. Based on the sport of association football, the game tasks the player with controlling a football team.

7. Virtual Cop

Virtua Cop (known as Virtua Squad for the North American Windows version) is a first-person lightgun shooter arcade game created by Sega AM2 and headed by Yu Suzuki. Its original incarnation was an arcade game in 1994 and it was later ported to the Sega Saturn in 1995 and Microsoft Windows in 1997. 

8. Age of Empires

Age of Empires is a series of personal computer games developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft Studios. The first title of the series was Age of Empires, released in 1997. Since then, seven titles and three spin-offs have been released. 

9. Doom

Doom (stylized as DOOM or DooM) is a series of first-person shooter video games developed by id Software. The series focuses on the exploits of an unnamed space marine operating under the auspices of Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC), who fights hordes of demons and the undead in order to survive.

10. Quake

 

Quake is a first-person shooter video game, developed by id Software and published by GT Interactive in 1996. It features music composed by Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails.It is the first game in the Quake series. In the game, players must find their way through various maze-like, medieval environments while battling a variety of monsters using a wide array of weapons.

6. Saints Row 4: is an open world action-adventure video game developed by volition and published by Deep SilverSaints Row IV is an open world action game with third-person shooter elements wherein the player is free to explore the environment and, at their leisure, play story or side missions.

 

7. Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition: is a fighting video game developed by Nether Realm Studios and published by Warner Bros. A new feature is the "super meter", which can be charged by various actions during battle such as performing special moves, getting blocked by the opponent, or getting hit by them.

 

8. Batman: Arkham Origins is an action-adventure video game being developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal and released by Warner Bros. Arkham Origins is an open world action-adventure game that incorporates elements of stealth game tactics. Batman can use his cape to glide around Gotham City, and he can use the grapnel gun's retracting rope to attach to out-of-reach ledges and extend his flight.
