The "No-Prize"
The award -- an empty envelope that congratulates its recipient for "winning" the "No-Prize" -- was created by Stan Lee in 1964 as a tongue-in-cheek response to the error-finding rewards offered by other comics publishers.
Many winners failed to get the joke, complaining to Marvel that their prize must have fallen out of their envelope in transit.
