International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. The theme of 2017 International Nurse Day (IND): "A voice to lead – Achieving the sustainable development goals” to raise awareness both amongst the nursing profession and the general population and policy makers of what the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are and why they matter.
