Can a person donate blood after getting a tattoo?

Only if you have not got any tattoo within the past 6 months. When people get tattooed, they face the risk of infections, especially if their tattooists haven’t followed mandatory precautions. Hence, blood banks prefer to let newly tattooed people wait for 6 months before donating blood. This is just a infection control mechanism. Because if an infected person donated blood, his blood would eventually be tested after collection.
