The Bhupen Hazarika Setu ( also known as Dhola–Sadiya Bridge), is the longest bridge in india. Its length is 9.15 kilometres (5.69 mi), the bridge connecting states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh over Lohit river. Before this bridge Mahatma Gandhi Setu was the longest bridge over the river Ganges connecting Patna in the south to Hajipur in the north of Bihar. Its length is 5,750 metres (18,860 ft) and now it become the second longest river bridge in India.
