Qutbuddin Aibak was known as the 'Lakh Baksh'. He was the founder of the Slave Dynasty, ruled from 1206 AD to 1210 AD. He was the first Sultan of the Delhi Sultanate. Muslim writers call him as 'Lakh Baksh' or giver of lakhs because he gave liberal donations to them.
