In a Narco test the subject is administered a fixed quantity of Sodium Pentothal or Sodium Amytal which puts him/her in a state of Hypnotism. Such a test is generally conducted on a suspect who is not coming out with the truth. Once put to this test he is half sleep and answers the questions truthfully.
