Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi or Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi is revered in India as the Father of the Nation though there is no such official record from Government of India. Title of the Father of the Nation upon the Mahatma was given by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose who first addressed him as such in his condolence message to the Mahatma on the demise of Kasturba on Singapore Radio on July 6, 1944.
