Iron deficiency

Anaemia is a condition in which there is a deficiency of red cells or of haemoglobin in the blood, resulting in pallor and weariness. Iron deficiency is thought to be the most common cause of anaemia globally, although other conditions, such as folate, vitamin B12 and vitamin A deficiencies, chronic inflammation, parasitic infections, and inherited disorders can all cause anaemia.

Add these foods to your diet to get more iron and help fight iron deficiency anemia:
Leafy greens. Leafy greens, especially dark ones, are among the best sources of nonheme iron.
Meat and poultry. All meat and poultry contain heme iron.
Liver.
Seafood.
Fortified foods.
Beans.
Nuts and seeds
