Hyoid
The hyoid bone is at the front of the throat, just below the base of the jaw, and is attached to muscles, tissues and membranes and only at a remove to any other bone; it helps in tongue movement and swallowing. The scapula, or shoulder blade, seems largely free floating but is articulated to the bone of the upper arm, or humerus.
