Nokrek Biosphere Reserve is situated in the western part of Meghalaya State. The reserve covers parts of three districts, East Garo Hills, West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills. Nokrek National Park with an area of 47.48 sq.km is the core zone of the reserve.
