Writing children's books
Brinsley (1896-1978) wrote and illustrated a series of books on the life of a character called Milly Molly Mandy. Heward (ca1900-ca1970) is particularly known for a series of books about a character called Ameliaranne, part of a larger series about the same character all written by different (female) authors and illustrated by the same (female) illustrator, Susan Beatrice Pearse .
