Organised meetings were in West Lafayette, Indiana, and Washington, D.C. Other gatherings were held in New York City and Vancouver. That morning, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck 195 miles off the coast of Taitung, Taiwan, at a depth of 6.2 miles. However, the number and severity of earthquakes decreased during "Boobquake": 47 were reported against an average of 148 daily earthquakes.
