Disrupting the award ceremony
Abrahamian won a bronze medal in the 84 kg weight class but after the award ceremony, he stepped off the podium, dropped his medal in the centre of the mat and walked away, to protest a controversial ruling against him in the semifinal. He was later disqualified by the IOC and stripped of his rejected bronze for disrupting the award ceremony.
