The East India Company's Territories, Ceylon, & Saint Helena
Britain had outlawed slave trade in its territories with the Slave Trade Act 1807, followed by similar action by Sweden and the Netherlands, but did not abolish slavery itself until 24 years later with the Slavery Abolition Act.
