Pacific
The Kamchatka Peninsula is in the Russian Far East, 1,250-kilometre-long (780 mi) with an area of about 270,000 km2 (100,000 sq mi). It is seen as one of the most outstanding volcanic regions in the world, and includes the world's largest known variety of salmonoid fish as well as exceptional concentrations of sea otter, brown bear and Stellar's sea eagle.
