Albert Hofmann
Hofmann also isolated, synthesised, and named the principal psychedelic mushroom compounds psilocybin and psilocin. Possibly in line with his interest in mushrooms he also determined the structure of chitin, a primary component of cell walls in fungi. All the other options are eminent Swiss scientists, but in different fields.
