Crew Dragon
The flight was in May 2020. The two crew piloted the craft manually for part of the flight, and were transported to the International Space Station (ISS). The craft was created by SpaceX, headed by Elon Musk, developed from earlier flights by Dragon craft to transport supplies to the ISS. The project was a collaboration between SpaceX and the USA's National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). People have been transported to manned space stations since the 1970s by the USSR/Russian government's Soyuz spacecraft, but the Crew Dragon was the first private commercial flight to do so. Parts involved in the flight of the Dragon are reusable.
