The number is as published by the Florida Museum. "Unprovoked attacks" are defined as incidents where an attack on a live human occurs in the shark’s natural habitat with no human provocation of the shark. The total number of human-shark interactions worldwide in 2019 was 119, five of which were fatal. The other options: 320,000 is the estimated annual number of deaths worldwide by drowning; 3,650 is the average annual number of deaths by drowning as estimated by the Center for Disease Control in just the United States; 565 is the number recorded in the year 2000 of deaths just in the United States due to falls on same level from slipping, tripping and stumbling.
