Korfball is a type of netball developed in the Netherlands. Players were of both genders and costumes for women were short enough to reveal knees when playing, both of which was considered by critics to be highly disturbing and offensive. It was, however, very popular. There have been international championships since 1978, and it has been played at the World Games since 1985.
