I think saying he reinvented film is a silly thing to say (about any contemporary artist) and is sort of unfair to him. All he wants to do is make good movies but people put him on a pedestal and then when his movies aren't perfect he gets a lot of backlash. I think we all need to calm down and just appreciate him as a wonderful talent. We don't need put labels on him like "the greatest living director". There are many great filmmakers, and he is one of them. Having said all of that, I do love his work and I think he is a uniquely great filmmaker. He's probably one of my 10 favorite filmmakers working today even though his last couple films, while not misses per say, did not quite hit their targets like The Dark Knight, Memento and Inception did.
