According to a story originating in the 13th century, and disputed by the Catholic Church and many academics, who was the first (and only) female Pope?

Pope Joan
The first 13th century source attributed her papacy to the beginning of the 12th century, however a later 13th century writer attributed it to mid 9th century. Neither date, or the accuracy of the story as a whole, is currently accepted by a range of academics.
