The Antarctic Polar Desert
The Antarctic Desert covers 5.5 million sq miles (14.2 million sq km). The second largest, the Arctic desert, which extends over parts of North America, Greenland, Iceland, Scandinavia and Russia, is about 5.4 million sq miles (14 million sq km).
