1919 for all Canada except Quebec (1940)
Widows and unmarried women were granted limited right in Ontario in 1884. 1916 brought a right to vote in provincial elections. From 1917, women who were British subjects with close relatives in the armed forces could vote on behalf of their male relatives in federal elections.
