The influence of context and pronunciation on understanding spoken language
Howard L. Chace, a professor of Romance languages, created a form of English in the 20th century using accepted words (but never the correct ones) which demonstrated that using effectively the same sounds a sentence or phrase can be made to mean something completely different, and that the intonation and context of spoken language is almost as important to meaning as the words themselves. An example is "A nervous sausage bag ice!" for "I never saw such big eyes!".
