Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza pair won the Wimbledon Woman’s double title. The pair defeated Russians Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina to clinch the title. For Mirza, it was her first Grand Slam women’s doubles crown; for Hingis, it was her third at Wimbledon, but first in an astonishing 17 years. By this success Sania Mirza created history by becoming the first female player from the country to win a women’s doubles Grand Slam trophy.
