Indian National Song Vande Mataram written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay's 1882 novel Anandamath.It was written in Bengali and Sanskrit.

It first sung in a political context by Rabindranath Tagore at the 1896 session of the Indian National Congress

Author: Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s Song: Vande Mataram which was a source of inspiration to the people in their struggle for freedom, has an equal status with Janagana-mana. The first political occasion on which it was sung was the YEAR: 1896 session of the Indian National Congress.

Indian National Song "Vande Mataram" is written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and taken from his famous book Anandamath written in 1882. It was composed by Jadunath Bhattacharya and adopted as national song on 24 January 1950.

It first sung in a political context by Rabindranath Tagore at the 1896 session of the Indian National Congress.
