Five cities has implemented the even-odd traffic rules prior to Delhi -
1. Rome, Italy
2. Paris, France
3. Mexico City, Mexico
4. Bogota, Columbia
5. Beijing, China

What is the Even-Odd rule in Delhi
Rule is that vehicles with odd and even number plates will ply on alternate days in the city from January 1, 2016 which means the vehicle which has even number will be allowed on the road of Delhi on the date 2, 4, 6, 8, 10,...30 while vehicle with odd number plate will be allowed on 1, 3, 5, 7, ....
Note that this is just a circular not implemented yet and is not guaranteed that it would be implemented. All depends on the success of the pilot program success.
