Built at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata (work was started in 2005 under the project 28) INS Kamorta was the first anti-submarine warfare stealth corvette.
Project 28 was approved in 2003, Two of the four corvettes, INS Kamorta and INS Kadmatt were commissioned in 2014 and 2016 respectively whereas remaining two, INS Kiltan and INS Kavaratti are under construction and slated to be completed by 2017.
