According to the National Geographic, the highest measured speed of a peregrine falcon is 389 km/h (242 mph), the fastest in the bird kingdom. The speed of the Golden Eagle's dive has been measured at up to 322 km/h (200 mph); the speeds of the Eurasian Hobby and the Gyrfalcon have been measured at 161 km/h (100 mph) and 209 km/h (130 mph) respectively.
