A mosquito isnt an animal, its an insect. The nearest to an animal is an animalia whish is a leech. The question should be change to....a living thing to be more exact. Thats my humble opinion.TQ

Insects do come under Animal Kingdom.
And the in the question insect is generalised as animal.
Otherwise if the question is put as "Can you name an insect.......?, then it will give direct clue for the answer.
