Seeking the impossibility of the case, you thought of accepting the bet.

As per the surveys, on an average, people have 100 000 hairs on their head. If we assume there are 100 000 people with different number of hairs, the next person will have equal number of hairs with one of previous 100 000. Since NY has millions of non-bold population, at least 2 of them have same number of hairs.
