It takes one tap to twelve minutes to fill a bath, whilst it takes the other six minutes to fill it up.
The plug has been left out, however, and the bath will empty in eight minutes.
If both taps are on full and the plug is left out, How long will it take for the bath to fill up, if it will fill up at all?

Garima takes the underground train to work and uses an escalator at the railway station. If Garima runs up 8 steps of the escalator, then it takes her 30.0 seconds to reach the top of the escalator. If she runs up 15 steps of the escalator, then it takes her only 12.5 seconds to reach the top.

How many seconds would it take Garima to reach the top if she did not run up any steps of the escalator at all?

I want to fill my bucket using both cold and hot water.
I have two taps for both cold and hot water. The hot water tap fills the bucket in exact 6 hours and cold water tap fills the bucket in exact 4 hours.
I turn both of them simultaneously but I forgot to turn off another tap which removes the water out of the bucket. This tap can empty the bucket in 12 hours.

How long will it take to fill the bucket?
