On 24 August 2016 Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has been appointed Rio Olympics bronze medallist Sakshi Malik as the New Brand Ambassador of Beti Bachao, Beti Padho campaign in Haryana. She was awarded a cheque of Rs 2.5 crore by the Chief Minister.
