Paula Pareto
Paula Pareto claimed the gold in the women's 48 kg, becoming the first Argentine woman to become an Olympic champion. Paula Pareto became a legend after winning gold in the women’s 48-kilogram division in judo in the Olympic Games in Rio, the first for an Argentine sports woman in the Olympic history and a new achievement for her personal career after clinching bonze in Beijing 2008. It was also the first gold for Argentina in the Rio Games.
