In 2009, Andrew Strauss was the captain of the England cricket team. He was formal captain of England's Test cricket team. Strauss favoured scoring off the back foot, mostly playing cut and pull shots. He was also known for his fielding strength at slip or in the covers. He became the Director of Cricket for England cricket team in 2015.
