Magnus Carlsen won FIDE World Chess Championship 2014 held in Sochi, Russia. The match was between the world champion Magnus Carlsen and challenger Viswanathan Anand, to determine the World Chess Champion and Carlsen retained his title, winning three games, losing one and drawing seven.
