Amir Khan
Amir Khan was born in Bolton to a family of Pakistani origin. He was the only British boxer at the Athens Olympics, and caught the imagination of the public. Although aged only seventeen, he reached the final before losing to the much older and more experienced Cuban boxer, Mario Kindelan. Khan turned professional in 2005 and has held world championships in both lightweight and light welterweight divisions. The other three names listed are all international cricketers.
