1) Jaydev Unadkat:- The performances of Jaydev Unadkat in IPL 2017 have been a revelation. From being the eternal journeyman since he started out in 2010, Unadkat grabbed the opportunity with both hands in Rising Pune Supergiant as he finished the tournament as the second-highest wicket-taker with 24 wickets in 12 games.

2) Rishabh Pant:- The Delhi youngster followed up a good season in domestic cricket with a superb show in IPL-10. His amazing 97 from 43 balls for the Delhi Daredevils against the Gujarat Lions was rated by the great Sachin Tendulkar as one of the best innings he has seen in all 10 IPL seasons.

3) Rahul Tripathi:- Rising Pune Supergiants' impressive turnaround in the second half of IPL 10 was made largely possible because of his batting. With 353 runs in 10 games, the 26 year old is the only cricketer in IPL-10's top 10 batsmen to have not played international cricket.

4) Nitish Rana:- He may have not found favour with the Delhi selectors, but Nitish proved his worth and more for the Mumbai Indians. The 23-year-old left-hander made the No 3 slot his own at Mumbai with three fifties in his first six knocks in IPL-10, including a 29-ball half-century against the Kolkata Knight Riders which saw Mumbai steal victory from the jaws of defeat.

5) Sanju Samson:- The 22 year old has been a revelation for the Delhi Daredevils, scoring 386 runs in 13 games, including a century and two fifties. Opening the innings, he hit a smashing 61 from 31 balls as he helped Delhi chase down a massive 209 against the Gujarat Lions.

6) Shreyas Iyer:- The 22 year old hit a stunning 96 in 57 balls, laced with 15 fours and two sixes, which helped the Delhi Daredevils win a thrilling run chase. In 11 games, Shreyas scored 306 runs at a good strike rate of 143.

7) Washington Sundar:- At 17 years of age, Washington Sundar has been the find of the tournament. He became the youngest player to feature in an IPL final, beating the mark of 19 years set by Ravindra Jadeja in 2008 while playing for Rajasthan Royals. His economy rate of 6.16 is the best in IPL 2017 and his eight wickets in 10 games had earmarked him for great success in the coming years.

8) Mohammed Siraj:- The tall pace bowler had already become a star before the IPL 2017 began after he was snapped up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 2.6 crore. The highlight of Siraj’s performance in IPL 2017 was his haul of 4/32 against Gujarat Lions which resulted in a dramatic collapse.

After suffering defeats in their opening fixtures, both Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be looking to get their campaign on track when the face off at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on March 29.

The home side SRH were at the receiving end of Andre Russell's blitzkrieg at the Eden Gardens as Kolkata chased down their total of 181/3 with 6 wickets remaining. However, a big positive for them would be the form of former skipper David Warner who was making his return after a year-long ban due to the ball-tampering scandal. Warner scored 85 off 53 balls as he hit the blocks running and was well-supported in the later stages by Vijay Shankar who finished with an unbeaten 40 off 24.

Royals were cruising to victory in their opening fixture chasing 184 when Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) skipper R Ashwin 'Mankaded' Jos Buttler sparking controversy and an unfortunate batting collapse. Buttler was batting on 69 of 43 when he was dismissed and the remaining batsmen could only add 62 from the next 50 balls as the Royals fell short by 14 runs. RR will hope the likes of Steve Smith, Ben Stokes, Rahul Tripathi and Jofra Archer are able to provide more support in their upcoming fixtures.

SRH will have to address their death bowling after conceding 53 from the final three overs against KKR to lose from a dominant position. However, Rashid Khan was impressive as usual conceding just 26 runs and dismissing the well-set Nitish Rana.

Jaydev Unadkat and Ben Stokes leaked runs against KXIP and they will have to be on top of their game against Warner and Bairstow. Archer, on the other hand, was unlucky to not pick up a wicket as he finished with an impressive economy of just 4.25 after his 4 overs.
