Queens Park Rangers F.C. was the first English football club to install an artificial pitch. But later it proved largely unpopular with visiting sides and in 1988 it was replaced again with turf. This football club based in White City, London, that currently plays in the Championship, the second tier of English football. Their honors include the raising of the League Cup in 1967, as well as being champions of the Championship in 1983 and 2011.
