Kapil Dev is the first Indian to score a century in an ICC World Cup tournament. He scored this century against Zimbabwe at Tunbridge Wells, in the quater-finals of the 1983 World Cup. His extraordinary knock of 175 runs against Zimbabwe saved India from being ousted from the quarter-finals.
