in FDD mode, data can only be transmitted and received in two separate frequency band for DL & UL however, it's done simultaneously in time domain using entire (single) time frame.Therefore, number of component carriers and BW are different. However in TDD mode, it uses only single freq band but transmission & reception is divided into time frame in such a way that data is transmitted (DL) for say first half of the frame and received (UL) in second half

Why cant we configure more UL carriers than DL carriers? can anyone explain with valid reason?

For FDD 20MHZ, no of DL RB = 100 and no of UL RB = 100. But in TDD, different UD configurations having different no of DL and UL subframes and few special subframes. Hence how to calculate no of Dl RB and no of UL RB in case of TDD?
