I heard that one way to convert LibreOffice (I have 3.5.7.2) text files to Word is to move the pdf file to Windows and edit there. However pdf files appear to be invisible on the Windows 7 desktop.

Why not just save the document in Microsoft .doc format from LO? Normally one cannot edit a pdf file so I am not sure what that suggestion is about.

The original Icons on my desktop all have changed and now are all the same, but the program names are the original. When I click on any program I want to open they all open the same program as the Icon shows. How can I get the original Icons Back?

I just installed Win7HP/64 drivers for the Atheros wireless card in my Acer Aspire One netbook. I successfully connected to my home wifi network and then took the Acer to the office.

No matter what i do i cant connect to the wifi network. The Win wireless management utility says that there are not any networks available, which is not true.

Any idea why this isnt working?

I am looking for a simple, easy to understand email client for Win 7, something that allows more than one email account, and has the feature needed to set up multiple message rules, across the multiple accounts.

Right now I have Outlook 2010 and I really, really dislike it. I have tried Thunderbird as well, but it just doesn't have the message rule capabilities I need.

Has anyone use Postbox Express by chance? If yes, can you let me know how it works? (not technical stuff, just for message rules and multiple accounts)

I have Flash Player installed on my Win7 machine, latest version. Every time I attempt to open a video that depends on Flash I get inundated with the warning that I need to upgrade Flash to the latest version, no matter how many times I do so.
How to stop this irritation? How to get Flash to work the way its supposed to? I have totally uninstalled it via REVO, reinstalled it but same results.
